Meet The Candidate

Paul Bakken is a 25 year resident of Eagan, where he lives with his wife Alison, and three children Amanda, Max, and Katie. Paul has served four terms on the City Council. During his service, Paul has spearheaded initiatives to increase public safety, improve our transportation infrastructure, increase local Internet bandwidth, and create a healthy business environment. Paul has also been a tireless advocate for preserving open space. Paul has pursued all of these goals — while keeping our taxes low!

Paul looks forward to continuing his public service as your representative on the Eagan City Council.

Goals

PRESERVE GREENSPACE — Paul will build on his excellent previous record of working for clean water, supporting reforestation, and preserving open space in Eagan.
SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURE — Paul knows that our quality of life depends on good roads, reliable water and sewer service, and quality public amenities.
PROVIDE COMMON-SENSE LEADERSHIP — Paul is known for his level-headed approach to problem solving and skill at team building. In these challenging times, we need someone with his leadership and experience on the City Council.
PROTECT THE BOTTOM LINE — As a fiscal conservative, Paul will ensure that our taxes remain low and that we get the best value for our tax dollars.
